The Brand
Rise Cannabis is a conceptual design to express a modern cannabis brand identity.
The brand identity design for Rise Cannabis gained recognition as a top design project by DesignRush! I acknowledge that the generic taboo for cannabis brands is not acceptable in the modern age. This conceptual brand is a beautiful identity that can be purchased or licensed to a registered dispensary or product-based company to attract a community successfully. Notably, this turnkey system is bold and expressive, attractively representing the industry products and creating a memorable brand.
The Process
Rise Cannabis is a take on a brand identity which uses professional design principles and storytelling. A focal point of the brand design was to take the meaning of the word "Rise" and build the design elements around it. This is where the brand scheme and colour palette originated from. From there, the cloudy elements were added, to emphasize the elevated references in the brand name and also in the nature of the cannabis products - these products are ingested to feel an elevated sense of being.
Interior messaging would be a focal point of the stores' decoration, and strategizing the correct brand tone-of-voice was among the list of tasks which must be completed. The final slogan that was selected, "Where every pet is special" emphasizes how the groomers treat your pet.
Product Design
A large component of success in regulated cannabis brands is the product and packaging design. With so many products on the Canadian market, standing out from the competition can be a make-it-or-break-it for cannabis companies. From suppliers to producers, the Canadian market has become extremely saturated.
I am a big believer in quality product design and how it affects the overall retail experience. The modern consumer is overwhelmed with options in every industry, and companies are fighting each other for the customers attention constantly. One way to separate yourself is by investing in quality product design, and customer experience. Modern consumers are emotional purchasers, making decisions that are often based on subliminal biases or decisions. If a company can effectively separate themselves from the competition by sparking an emotional connection they will succeed, and this is accomplished through retail experience.
