The Problem
Imperial Granite & Stone is a countertop fabrication and installation company which has been in business since 2012. Based in Markham, Ontario, the company approached us seeking a new and improved brand identity and website due to heavy competition in the surrounding area. After the initial session with the client, it was apparent that the current branding did not meet the company's goals. Instead, they wanted a modern and classy brand system that showed their values and quality of work. The goal was to use design and marketing to accelerate performance in person and online.
In order to communicate the company values, the new brand identity system would need to be bold and elegant, communicating the quality of work provided.
The Process
The origins of the word “Imperial” inspired a journey through numerous periods and territories, where being considered imperial was an exclusive title. Looking back, history suggests a strong strategy and a robust foundation for an empire to reign supreme. Therefore, the crown is reserved strictly for the Imperial. The brand strategy was designed with this idea in mind.
The new brand needed a bold and unique appearance, with fresh energy. So, after gaining a new perspective from the discovery session, the focus shifted. The logo is a whitespace “Imperial” type mark accompanied by a crown logomark. The crown represents imperial status and a standard of perfection – it demands respect. The crown mark makes for a beautiful brand style with the whitespace mark.
Research on the word ‘Imperial’ inspired the unique colour palette. The cool, sleek colours were selected with attention to detail and contrast. The colour selection represents an elegant and royal feeling, that is memorable to users. This colour choice was a perfect match to the initial strategy session.
Notice below that the whitespace ‘M’ in the ‘Imperial ’ type mark is composed of the crown logomark.
The Solution
After the new brand identity system was presented and approved by the client, it was time to implement it. They required a number of services, including digital marketing, stationary print design, and photography.
Rich social media content was vital to the campaign for Imperial Granite & Stone. Because the company wasn’t active since 2017, the social channels needed a fresh and active solution. In addition, creating quality engagements and impressions for the company was necessary for growth. As a result of these efforts, followers and engagements have seen excellent traction!
Quality print material is an important aspect of building a business. Therefore, print such as business cards, letterheads, and other materials must be designed and sourced time-effectively and with quality in mind. After boosting the print quality, the company received outstanding compliments from its peers. The company hands out flyers and business cards and places lawn signs in the surrounding area, consequently building great brand exposure. As a result, there has been a surge in new customers.
Professionally captured beautiful photos of the storefront, showroom and warehouse. These stunning images are edited and polished, to enhance the Google MyBusiness profile, social media, and website. It is vital to use high-quality images for these channels for the user impression. Overall, our team curated a bold user experience. Consequently, the company has seen great results in gaining revenue.
